Sydney FC's Holiday Clinics are back!

We all remember how good school holidays used to be back in the days before tablets, the Xbox and Netflix. When we used to head off in the morning with our friends and spend the day amusing ourselves in the great outdoors.

Well, with the next round of school holidays on the horizon, Sydney FC are offering kids a chance to enjoy the outdoor life again! Australia’s leading football club are bringing their unique brand of Holiday Clinics back to the Eastern Suburbs to give children an opportunity to have a blast while improving their football skills!

Sydney FC have been running Holiday Clinics for ten years with their experienced and qualified coaches putting on fun sessions for children of all abilities aged between five and 13.

The clinics are designed to help youngsters develop their individual ability and improve their social skills through learning about teamwork, fair play and respect. A series of skill-based games also help build fundamental motor skills with enthusiastic coaches ensuring there is a ball for every child - so the fun factor never drops. Children will also enjoy a boost to their confidence levels and self-esteem as they master skills like striking a ball correctly and running with the ball at their feet.

And not only is there the fun on the pitch, the kids have plenty to take away with them! All new players receive a Sydney FC training kit and hat to keep, as well as a certificate signed by one of Sydney FC’s players. And every child is also given a two-game Membership so they can enjoy the thrill of watching a live Sydney FC game at the SCG.

Parents drop their kids off with a packed lunch at 9am and pick them up at 3pm with a big smile on their face.

The club are running two local clinics in the Autumn holidays. The first is at Cranbrook Junior School in Rose Bay from Monday 15th April to Wednesday 17thApril. The second is at Heffron Park in Maroubra starting on Tuesday 23rd April and running through to Friday 26thApril with a day break for ANZAC Day.

Paul Reid, Sydney FC Manager of Community Programs, said: “Our Sydney FC Holiday Clinics are proving very popular with parents during school holidays. We set out to ensure every child has fun, whilst also improving their football skills. The sessions are designed to allow boys and girls of all abilities to have a great time during their holidays in an outdoor environment. It’s great fun and we usually have plenty of eager youngsters coming back every school holiday period because they’ve had so much fun.”
