Cambridge Markets’ curator Rebecca Fox said: “For the first time our wonderful regular stallholders will come together with the EQ retailers and a whole lot of boutique traders to form one lovely Christmas market.

“We very much believe in the shop small, shop local philosophy, and encourage consumers to get out of the shopping malls into the outdoors to experience this market.

“Its a whole day out. There is stuff for kids to do, you can shop, you can eat, you can talk to stallholders, have a Christmas drink and do your Christmas food shopping too. You can get your meats, your cheese, your festive nuts, your fruit and veg, desserts, and of course flowers, rather than running around to a lot of different locations.

“Shopping this way makes Christmas fun rather than a chore.”

EQ Marketing Manager Meredith Mallory said she was pleased that retailers and market stallholders would be coming together in one space in celebration of Christmas.

“This will be an excellent day for shoppers who want to come and see what EQ has to offer and experience some genuine community spirit,” Meredith said.
